Messaging Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Your messages, our replies, and any attachments you send
• Your name, platform username and account ID, and profile details that Instagram or Facebook make available to us
• Your email or phone number, if you choose to share it in the conversation
• Timestamps, message IDs, and your choices (Domi or our team, and when you made them)
• Notes and summaries created while we respond to you
• Limited technical information needed to run, secure and fix our messaging systems

What we receive depends on the platform and how you interact with us. We don't necessarily get everything on your profile.

How we use it

• To answer your questions and follow up on them
• To keep a conversation history so you don't have to repeat yourself
• To run, secure and troubleshoot the messaging service

Messaging us or choosing Domi does not sign you up for marketing emails, texts or recurring messages. If we offer an optional subscription, we'll explain it separately and ask first where the law requires. We don't use private conversations to train AI models, and we've turned off model training in HubSpot where that option exists. Our providers may use de-identified or aggregated information to run and improve their own services, as their terms describe.

We do not sell personal information from private messages or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Companies that help us

We use Instagram and Messenger (Meta) to receive messages, ManyChat to connect and route them, HubSpot for customer records and AI-assisted replies, and Vercel to host the software that links these systems. They may process message content, account identifiers, conversation history and technical information as needed for their roles, and some use approved subprocessors.

Meta also handles your information under its own privacy terms when you use Instagram or Messenger. Deleting information from our systems doesn't remove copies Meta keeps independently.

Investment questions

Domi can help current investors find which platform holds their investment, how to log in, how to get investor updates and where to find official offering documents. For anyone curious about investing, Domi points you to geoship.is/invest, where you can join the crowdfunding waitlist or, if you're an accredited investor, book a meeting with our investor relations team.

Domi doesn't give investment advice, predict returns, or make statements about the value of Geoship. Nothing in a message is an offer to sell securities or a request for money. Any offering is made only through official offering documents, which you should read before investing.

How long we keep it

We keep conversations for up to 12 months after your last interaction, technical logs, which hold account IDs and event details rather than your message text, for up to 30 days, and records of your privacy choices and requests for up to 24 months.

Some information may be kept longer where needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or establish or defend legal claims. Backup copies may remain until they're overwritten.

Your choices and rights

• Reply human to talk to a person instead of Domi.
• Reply stop to turn off AI replies. This doesn't delete your messages.
• Reply delete my data, or email love@geoship.is, to make a privacy request.

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask for a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, or object to or restrict some uses. We aim to respond within 30 calendar days, or the period your local law sets. We may need to confirm it's really you, and we won't ask for more than we need. If we can't do everything you ask, we'll explain why. You may also contact your local data protection authority.

Choosing Domi or our team

The first time you message us, we ask whether you want to chat with Domi or wait for our team. We don't use Domi to reply until you choose it. If you choose our team, we'll keep routing your messages to them until you ask for Domi again.

International processing

Geoship is based in the United States. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate. Where the law requires safeguards for those transfers, we use an approved mechanism, such as contractual protections. Contact us if you'd like details.

Children

Our messaging is for a general audience and isn't designed for children under 13. If we learn a child under 13 has shared personal information with us, we'll take steps to delete it. If you think this has happened, contact love@geoship.is.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of electronic communication is completely secure. If sensitive information is sent to us, we may restrict its use or remove it.

Messaging rules and other policies

Instagram and Messenger rules may limit when and how we can message you after your last interaction. You can start a new conversation anytime.
